The Improvement Era was an official periodical of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1897 until 1970. The magazine served as a voice for the leaders of the church, sharing messages, stories, and teachings from the General Authorities. It contained a mixture of spiritual teachings, advice for living the gospel, church news, and even fictional stories and poetry. It was aimed at helping members, especially the youth, to improve—spiritually, mentally, and physically. Over the years that it ran, the Improvement Era was the official publishing venue for a variety of organizations within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, including the Seventies, the Young Men's Mutual Improvement Association, the Young Ladies' Mutual Improvement Association, priesthood quorums, church schools, the Church Music Committee, and the Home Teaching Committee.
The items listed below are not the complete publication run of the Era, but the issues with articles which are relevant to the mission of Scripture Central.
