Abstract | This article sets forth Book of Mormon characteristics and prophecies regarding the Lamanites. The Lamanites were used as a scourge to the Nephites; often the Lamanites were more righteous than the Nephites; the American Indians are descendants of Book of Mormon peoples; and the Lamanites will yet “receive the gospel” and become a “white and delightsome people.” |
