| Abstract | Richard writes that the wild imaginations of men have blinded them to the pure and simple truth. They have imagined all sorts of theories of the Indians’ descent yet they do not believe the Book of Mormon, which tells the truth plainly. The LDS policy toward the Indians is to try to educate, elevate, and convert the Indians. He quotes from Mormon 5:19-20 that the gentiles will scatter the Lamanites after which the Lord will remember the covenant he has made with Abraham and all the house of Israel. |
