A number of ancient religious Indian traditions are rehearsed, including accounts of the creation, the great deluge, a large tower, the scattering of nations, ancient writings, sacred stones, transoceanic crossings, good brothers against evil brothers, darkness and destruction on the American continent, and the visit of a “great white spirit.” The author suggests that a “core of truth” is preserved within these traditions.
